API and MCP
Connect an AI agent (Claude, or anything that speaks MCP) to your fund over MCP or REST. It can ask what the fund owns, how each company and vehicle is performing, who the LPs are, and what the books say. Agents act as the person who authorized them: yours can read the portfolio, performance and the ledger; writing requires an admin.
Agent writes to the ledger land as drafts for you to review — recording an investment drafts the journal entry it implies rather than posting it.
Connect your Affinity account to pull company notes and attached files into diligence data rooms, and to let the diligence assistant answer questions about your relationship history.
Affinity issues one key per person, scoped to what you can see. Yours is stored encrypted and is never shown again after you save it. Notes you import go into the shared data room for the whole fund.
Generate a key in Affinity under Settings → API. Requires the “Generate an API key” permission from your Affinity admin.
AI summary prompt
The analysis instructions used for AI company summaries. Contact an admin to change this.
Write a concise analyst summary covering: 1. **Current Status**, How is the company performing right now? Reference specific numbers. 2. **Trends**, What direction are the key metrics heading? Growth rates, acceleration or deceleration. 3. **Progress & Positives**, What's going well? Milestones, improvements, or strong execution. 4. **Challenges & Risks**, What concerns you? Declining metrics, missing data, red flags. 5. **Key Follow-ups**, What should the investment team ask about or monitor next? Keep it to 2-4 short paragraphs. Be direct and analytical, not promotional. Use specific numbers. Do not use markdown formatting, write in plain prose paragraphs.
