Start with a proven model, make it yours
Financial models and tools for founders and investors. Run as a spreadsheet, in your browser, or through your AI.

Ask Hemrock
Ask a question about how to use the models, or describe your fund, company, or cap table and it will use a Hemrock web-based modelcalculation engine.
What it can and can’t do
It answers questions about the models, the docs, and which one fits what you’re doing. Ask about a fund and it calls the real fund economics engine, then shows you the figures it got back with every assumption it had to fill in. Nothing in those tables is written by the AI. When the engine rejects your inputs you get the error rather than an estimate.
It runs on what you say, and asks for the rest. Describe your rounds and it computes ownership and dilution. Give it a sale price and it splits the proceeds. Leave out a pre-money or a share count and it asks rather than picking one, and it never invents a valuation cap, a discount or an option pool you didn’t mention.
Liquidation terms you don’t state get flagged, not guessed. A round with no terms given runs at 1x non-participating, which is the market default and usually right, and the answer tells you that is what happened. Your documents are the authority. For anything with a real preference stack in it, build it in the cap table builder where you can see every term.
Only what you type is visible to it. No files, no spreadsheets, no account data, nothing uploaded. It reads the public docs on this site and the sentence you wrote.
This is not advice. It is a fast way to check a structure and a number before you commit to either. Anything that ends up in a filing, a tax return, or an LP report needs a person, which is what the audit is for.
I read the questions. Both sides of the conversation are logged so I can improve the documentation. Don’t paste anything confidential.
Plan the business. Raise the round.
Download it in Excel or Google Sheets. Every cell open and every formula documented, yours to edit however you want.
Build your cap table, exit waterfall, or fund economics live on the site. Nothing to download, and you can share a model by link.
Create an API key to integrate the Hemrock calculation engine into your agents and your software.
Connect the MCP server and use Claude or ChatGPT to use the Hemrock engine to do complicated cap table and liquidity waterfall calculations through your prompts.
Proven structure
Every model is a structure that's already been used and tested: 55,000 people, 116 countries, since 2005. You start from something that works, not a blank sheet.
Edit with AI
Built so Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI tools can read and edit the model without breaking it. The proven structure is what makes AI safe to use here: it gives every edit a place to show up, so you can verify the output instead of trusting it.
Yours forever
Buy it once and it's yours. Open formulas, free updates to your major version, and no subscription.
Portfolio Reporting
Forward founder updates in any format, the AI pulls the metrics, and you get live portfolio dashboards and LP reports. Self-hosted and open source, running on your own infrastructure.
“I continue to use and recommend the Cap Table + Round + Exit model + other tools that [Taylor] provides. Some are free, all are valuable. (Have paid ~$300 and saved so much time and money over years as a Founder CEO, Angel, VC).”
