- Add with AI is now a conversation, not a single prompt. It keeps context across turns, so a correction ("no, that SAFE was post-money") or a clarifying answer builds on what you already told it instead of starting over.
- The builder asks clarifying questions when a prompt is ambiguous (cap type, discount, whether a round includes an option pool) rather than guessing and making you undo the guess.
- Follow-up edits reference prior turns: you can say "add the Series B on the same terms as A but at a 40M pre" and it carries the earlier terms forward.
- Import reads
.xlsx,.xls, and searchable PDFs. A scanned page works as long as the text is selectable; a flat image scan won't. - On import you pick which sheets or pages matter. A workbook usually carries a summary tab, a few working tabs, and some scratch, and you point at the ones with holders and instruments and skip the rest.
- Import doesn't apply anything to the model. It reads the source and proposes cap-table events, founder issuances, SAFEs and notes with their caps and discounts, priced rounds, an option pool, and each one lands in a review list. You approve, edit, or drop each event before it touches the model, so a wrong valuation cap or a mislabeled participation term gets caught at review instead of after the waterfall is already wrong.
- Multi-instrument tables are the case this is built for: a stack of SAFEs on different caps, a note, then a priced round comes across as separate proposed events you can check one at a time rather than one merged guess.
- Exit Waterfall Builder v1.2.0 takes the same imported and approved structure into a waterfall, so the seniority and participation terms you signed off on in the cap table carry through to the payout math without re-entering them.
