Audit your AI
Review business logic and formula construction in your AI-created and edited models.

What I do
You built or changed a financial model with AI. It looks right. You're not sure it is. I review it for the errors AI quietly makes: hallucinated formulas, hard-coded values, broken sheet-to-sheet integration, and business logic that's plausible and wrong.
We go through it together on a screenshare. I flag every issue and what it should be, and you leave with the findings and fixes prioritized, ready to act on yourself or hand back to me.
Most people come to me right before the model does something real, a raise, a board meeting, an LP commitment. That's the moment to check it.
What an audit covers
- Formula errors. Wrong references, off-by-one summations, incorrect aggregations.
- Hard-coded values. Places where AI gave up and typed a number instead of computing one.
- Business logic. Does the model represent how your business actually works, or how AI guessed it works?
- Sheet integration. Connections between sheets carrying the right values, with no drops or duplications.
- Edge cases. Behavior at zero, negatives, extreme growth, currency boundaries.
- Statement balance. For full models: does the balance sheet actually balance after AI's edits?
Each one flagged in the session, with its severity and the recommended fix.
Need it built, or fixed?
Sometimes the audit turns up more than a quick fix, or you'd rather start from a model built right for your business or fund. I do that too: a custom revenue model, a fund-specific forecast and waterfall, a complex cap table and exit waterfall, or cleaning up and documenting a model you already have. It's delivered as a working model with documentation, and you own it forever. These are longer projects, so I quote them after we talk.
How it works
- Book an audit session above, and send me the model and how AI was involved.
- We review it together on a screenshare, and I flag what's wrong and what it should be.
- You leave with the findings and the fixes prioritized. Implement them yourself, or have me do it.
Work happens directly with me, no team and no handoffs. Larger or custom builds are quoted separately.
What it costs
The audit is a fixed-price session, booked above. Custom and larger builds are quoted after we talk, and most run $2K to $15K.
Why this exists
AI is good at edits, and also good at producing plausible-looking output that's silently wrong. "Built to edit" works because the structure catches most errors: you start with something proven and let AI do the line-level work. Build from scratch and there's no scaffolding, so the errors compound silently.
If you already went down the from-scratch path and you're about to use the model for a real decision (a raise, a board meeting, an LP commitment), get it audited first. If you need it built right from the start, custom work skips the audit step entirely.
Common questions
How long does an audit take?
The session is an hour. Most models fit, and for a big one we spend it on the highest-risk parts first.
How long does custom work take?
Depends on scope. Most projects are a few weeks.
Why not use AI to audit AI?
You can, and I do too. But the failure modes that matter (silently wrong, but plausible) are exactly the ones AI is bad at catching, because they look correct to AI for the same reason they look correct to you.
Do you handle ongoing updates after a custom build?
