What I build
A revenue model for a business the prebuilt models don't cover. A fund-specific forecast and waterfall. A cap table and exit waterfall with structure the standard version can't hold. Or a model you already have, cleaned up, documented, and made safe to hand to someone else.
It's delivered as a working model with documentation, and you own it. Work happens directly with me, with no team and no handoffs, and I've built these for hundreds of clients since 2005 across SaaS, ecommerce, media, hardware, marketplaces, funds, and more.

- I come back with a scope and a quote. Most projects run $1K to $10K.
- We agree the plan, I build, and we walk through it together on a screenshare. Revisions are part of the work.
Want it reviewed instead?
If you built or changed a model with AI and want to know whether it's right before it goes to a board or an LP, that's a working session, not a project. An hour on a screenshare, and I check the formulas, the hard-coded values, the sheet integration, and whether the business logic is yours or a plausible guess.
Why not build it with AI?
For a lot of things, you should, and every model here is open source so you can. AI is good at edits and good at producing plausible-looking output that's silently wrong. The prebuilt structure catches most of that. Build from scratch with complex business logic and there's no scaffolding, so the errors compound quietly. Custom work is for when the structure itself has to be right and there's no proven one to start from.

How long does it take?
Depends on scope. Most projects are a few weeks.
Can you start from one of the Hemrock models?
Usually, and it's cheaper when I can. The Standard Financial Model and the Venture Capital Model are the starting point for most custom work.
