Collaboration for Fund Economics Tool

This is an add-on for the hosted Fund Economics Tool. The model itself, building it, sharing it read-only, are all included in the base Fund Economics Tool purchase. This page is for unlocking the one feature that's separate: multi-user editing.

What it adds

A one-year license that lets you invite a co-GP, an analyst, an LP advisor, or a fractional CFO to edit the same saved model alongside you. They see your changes, you see theirs, and the model auto-saves through both of you.

Without this, you can still build models, save them, share read-only links with anyone, and collect feedback. What you can't do is hand someone an edit pencil.

What this is not

• Not the price of the Fund Economics Tool. The base product (spreadsheet + hosted version + read-only sharing) is its own pay-what-you-want purchase at Fund Economics Tool.
• Not a per-seat fee. Owner-only license. Invite up to 5 collaborators per Fund Economics model (and up to 5 across all your Fund Economics models) for the same one-year price; they don't need their own license.
• Specific to the Fund Economics Tool. This license unlocks multi-user editing on the hosted Fund Economics Tool. As other hosted models (Unit Economics, Runway, etc.) ship, each will have its own collaboration license.
• Not required for sharing. Read-only sharing (public or private with an access code, by URL or email) is free for any owner, with or without this add-on.

When to buy it

Buy this when one of these is true:

• You're working with a co-GP and want them in the model with you.
• You're co-modeling a fund pitch with a fractional CFO or analyst.
• An LP advisor wants to stress-test inputs with you live.

Skip it if a read-only link to your latest version is enough for the audience you're working with.

How it works

1. Sign in and open any Fund Economics model you own from your dashboard.
2. Click Collaborators in the page header.
3. Type the email of someone you want to edit with. If they have a Hemrock account they get edit access immediately; if they don't, we send them a magic link and they get edit access the moment they sign up.
4. Up to 5 collaborators per Fund Economics model and 5 across all your Fund Economics models. Revoke a pending invite or remove a collaborator at any time, even after your license expires, and the slot is yours again.

Pricing

Pay-what-you-want above a $49/yr minimum. Why a minimum: this is a real software feature with ongoing infrastructure costs (auth, storage, emails for invites). The minimum is a small floor; pay more if it's worth more to you.

The license is owner-only. If you and three collaborators all want to edit a model together, only one of you (the owner) pays. The other three edit for free.

When the year is up, your existing collaborators keep their access until you remove them, but you can't add new ones until you renew.

Want the spreadsheet or the base tool?

The base Fund Economics Tool ships in both spreadsheet and hosted form for one purchase. This add-on is a separate paid feature on the hosted side and isn't covered by the base purchase.
